Terra
He is one of the new heroes of Kingdom Hearts BBS, previously found in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +. Wielder of the Keyblade, he is determined, courageous, and ready to do anything for his friends and his mission. As a leader, he is the oldest of the group, and is considered as a big brother for Ventus. His uncanny resemblance to Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts II may not be a simple accident. It seems, however, that he posses a dark side, which appears to interest Maleficent and Master Xehanort that could affect the plot.
Aqua
Another wielder of the keyblade. She has studied with the same master than Terra and Ventus. Very serious, she is the most reliable of the three, but also the smarter. She also possesses a maternal side and is constantly worried about her two friends. She is considered as the "Magician" of the group. She appears to have connexions with Kairi, but which ones?
Ventus
Ventus, nicknamed Ven by his friends, is the young boy accompanying Terra and Aqua during their confrontation at the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +. His resemblance to Roxas, Sora's nobody, is one of the biggest questions about the plot of the game. Ven is a young man, friendly and enthusiastic, with a naive look and mysterious. He seems to have lost something, perhaps his memory...
Master Eraqus
Master Eraqus is the master of our three new heroes. Having a samurai-like look, he seems wise and serene. He wields a keyblade too but we do not know the extent of his powers. Having felt the danger that hovers over the worlds, he leads his three disciples and prepares them for their journey. His name means Square by reading backwards.
Master Xehanort
A Keyblade wielder, called Master by the three heroes. Is he their real master? This remains a mystery. He seems really powerful, much more than the three disciples. His appearance, apart from the fact that he is bald of course, recalls the Xehanort (Ansem) from the previous Kingdom Hearts, since he has the same clothes. What connection is there between them? For now it remains a mystery, however, Terra seems to don't totally be a stranger about it...
In the secret ending of KH II FM+, he seems able to control hundreds of keyblades. But to whom do they belong?
Vanitas
Vanitas is a disciple of Master Xehanort. he remains one of the darkest points of Birth by Sleep. Also wielding the Keyblade, his face is hidden behind a mask. We do not know a thing about his identity or the nature of his objectives ...
Mickey
Mickey is likely to be just a spectator of the drama currently playing. He is still an apprentice and train with his Master Yen Sid with and his two old friends, Donald and Goofy. He does not have his Keyblade from the previous Kingdom Hearts, since he will get it to seal the lock on the Darkness' side, however he has his real weapon, namely Stella, the Keyblade of light.
