Final Fantasy XIII Square-Enix's most important title in the Fabula Nova Crystallis Compilation. It is produced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is thus the first new Final Fantasy title on current generation consoles.
Final Fantasy XIII is set in a futuristic world controlling advanced technology and magical crystals. Pulse is the world Final Fantasy XIII based on has had a painful history that has resulted in the construction of the floating utopian city called Cocoon. For one reason so far unknown, the citizens of Cocoon fear the world below.
The Crystals have the ability to create life forms and machines in the Pulse. They can also communicate with super-natrual beings called fal'Cie who was responsible for the construction of Cocoon 13 centuries ago. It fal'Cie decision to create this paradise was designed to protect people from an "infection" on Pulse.
Today, the Holy government responsible for Cocoon extremely paranoid of people coming into any contact
with Pulse. Anyone who is suspected of being affected by the infection is under quarantine and banished from the city. The prisoners on the train is probably about to be exiled. For this reason, we believe Oerba Dia Vanille who travel on the train is suspected of being infected.
Team Nora is a resistance group led by Lightning and Snow fighting against Cocoon regime. They are responsible
for the attack on the train shown in many of the trailers with a view to freeing prisoners with an emphasis on rescue Vanille. So far, confirmed members of Team Nora's Lightning and Snow, as well as the three young characters Gadot, Maqui and Lebreau.
Although it is uncertain when the history of this case, Lightning, Snow and Vanilla are selected by fal'Cie to be l'Cie. This burden requires them to be enemies of humanity who must destroy Cocoon.
